Darts Update

Adrian Lewis scored the sort of form that you wished that he had earlier in the league as he was able to defeat Dave Chisnal by 7 legs to 4 and made his league position seem a little better but this match had very little on it except seeing what Lewis had as the best either player could achieve was 6th spot

Gary Anderson had a dart at tops and a dart at double 10 to secure a spot in the semi finals. But he failed and in the next leg he hit 5 perfect darts and being able to hit that double secured the spot in the semi final. 7 matches unbeaten secured him a spot in the semi finals

Phil Taylor secured the final spot in the semi finals with a 7-5 win over Robert Thornton. At one stage Taylor had an average of 104 but it did come down to 98 maybe because of nerves. In the final leg of the match Taylor was scoring big and showed why he is the best in the world as Robert Thornton could not get started but could not get that final double until his fourth attempt
In the final match now Peter Wright had only pride to play for. He did show the form that he had during the league at times by hitting a 161 but setting it up also on a few occasions.

At the start of this match the averages were very impressive wit Van Gerwin having 110 and Wright having 110 but the averages did drop and the crowd were hoping for Van Gerwin to raise his game as he was on a 114. Van Gerwin was able to get the win needed and secure a spot at the top of the table
There are 3 players that I think can win at the o2 Van Gerwin Van Barnavelle and Taylor. I would go with Phil Taylor but would love to have seen what Peter Wright would have done here with his green hair in Dublin. I think he is he next generation of showman.
