The big soccer match of the day was between Queens Park
Rangers and cup team Wigan who beat Manchester City earlier this year and was
defending cup champions.
Wigan seemed to have
control early with a goal as a quality passing move from Wigan got the ball
down the wingue with James Mc Clean with the ball and with a cross into Perch
all he had to do was tap the ball into the net good cross good goal
It did take QPR 20 minutes to get into this game and show
what it is that they can do. This did make the game a more even contest as a
whole
QPR equalised from the spot when hero of the day Charlie
Austin scored from the spot on 73 minutes. He hit the ball low into the middle
of the goal. All of Wigan will be asking was it a penalty as it does look in
some circles like he fell over and these types of calls are normally 50-50.
Cadwell runs into the box and to some it looks like a dive
Throw in for QPR low straight pass from Bobby Zamora into
Charlie Austin who is able to defeat his defenders to get a one on one with the
goalkeeper and score in extra time to win the match for QPR
In the Fleetwood York first leg a difficult shot left a very
easy tap in as Fleetwood beat York City 1-0 away from home
